Hawkins Design Group, Inc. established in Phoenix, Arizona in 1994, is recognized locally and nationally as a full service Electrical Consulting Engineering Service Firm. We have experience and skills in performing “Green Building” work, to include LEED projects and alternative energy sources such as solar photo-voltaic power. As of 2012, Hawkins Design Group is the Engineer Of Record for nearly 400 solar projects with 80 MW of total system power. This includes eighty-five Wal-Mart’s, several Cox Communications centers throughout Arizona, several Intel locations, numerous High Schools and Elementary Schools in Arizona, California and Colorado, the Arizona Science Center, and even large waste water treatment facilities. These power plants comprise of rooftop, shaded parking structure, and ground mount systems with both fixed and tracking mounting systems, and we have experience in both grid-tie and off-grid systems utilizing battery back-up. Systems sizes range from as small is a couple of kilowatts to multiple megawatts across a campus or large distribution building.
